Capped Range
A range with no truly strong hands in it, because those would have been played faster.
A capped range has a ceiling on its strength — the player cannot hold the very best hands, because they would have raised or bet earlier with them. A player who just calls the flop and checks the turn is often capped: the nutted hands would usually have built the pot.
Spotting a capped range is a green light to apply pressure. When an opponent's line means they cannot have the strongest holdings, you can bet or raise to fold out that range even without a strong hand yourself. It is the flip side of a polarized range.
