Donk Bet
Leading into the previous street's aggressor instead of checking to them.
A donk bet is a bet into the player who was the aggressor on the previous street — for example, the preflop caller leading out on the flop instead of checking to the raiser. The name comes from it once being seen as a "donkey" play.
While often weak, a donk bet can be deliberate: leading on a board that favors the caller's range, or simply a player who dislikes checking. In live games, read it in context — many recreational players donk their marginal made hands and draws, which tells you a lot about their range.
